Athletes need to make sure to update their profiles with all of their summer team information and statistics so that coaching staffs can track their progress during the summer months! These are very important times for the recruitment process and you need to stay on top of your game.

Here at TBC we are working hard at securing financing in order to grow the site and add more features to help athletes and coaches show off their skills and programs. We believe in the digital medium as an important tool for the recruitment process and for athletes to market themselves to not only coaches but to each other. Recently we have had meetings with some large media companies about the possibility of a joint venture which will enable us to spread our wings a little more and utilize some of our ideas that are on the shelf now due to financial constraints.

Also, check out our newest sponsor, NYCSportsStore.com, this is an up and coming sporting goods store based on the web that focuses on only providing equipment that is endorsed by serious athletes. Very cool concept and a pretty cool store as well, they are growing on daily basis so make sure to visit them for all of your equipment needs.

Here at TBC we are all getting ready to watch the College World Series which will be starting fairly soon and a long summer of sports and the beach. In the next week or so we will announce our newest contest for our athletes so make sure to continue to update your profiles and tell all of your teammates about TeamBlueChip.com.

As the spring athletic season gets into full swing, we at TeamBlueChip would like to wish all of our athletes the best of luck in their competitions and events. We encourage each of our athletes to continue to update their profiles, upload additional videos and pictures and to build their TBC Team and Network by inviting teammates and opponents to join TeamBlueChip.com.

I recently came across a very interesting and worthwhile cause that I encourage each athlete to look into and get involved with in the local chapters, The Miracle League. The Miracle League is a non-profit organization that enables handicapped children to play baseball through the building of a safe rubberized field and volunteers. TBC will be involved in the New York Westchester chapter of the Miracle League, sponsoring a team and lending support as buddies. If you are from the NY area and would like to lend a hand just contact us at TBC (info@TeamBlueChip.com) and we will point you in the right direction. For the rest of you the website can be found at http://www.miracleleague.com/, just search for the Miracle League nearest you and you can become a volunteer or coach.

Also, check out the two new videos on our Homepage featuring the music of Justin Biagi and the Hopeless Romantics (www.HopelessJustin.com) and Matthew Maher. The video will help give you a fuller understanding of the TBC site and the benefits it will offer you as an athlete.

Best of luck with your ‘08 seasons! We look forward to hearing back from you and watching as your TBC network grows!

ATTENTION ATHLETES!!!!! We are holding our first ever TeamBlueChip “My Favorite Athlete” contest with the grand prize of a professional model “Superior Bat Company” personalized wood baseball bat. To participate in the contest you need to upload pictures of you and your favorite athlete together to your profile page. Remember we are looking for creative and cool pictures with big time athletes, for example, you and David Wright in Times Square. The contest will be open until the end of March at which time a panel of judges will select the top five photos to be displayed on the TeamBlueChip homepage. At this point it will be up to your fellow athletes to vote on which picture is the coolest and deserves to be the first winner of the “My Favorite Athlete” competition. So upload your photos, get your camera ready to snap some new pics, and keep you eyes peeled for your favorite athletes! The winner could be you and _______________.

Back to the basics, make sure to stay vigilant about updating your profiles so that the coaches using TeamBlueChip can learn more about your abilities and how those abilities may help their programs. As of today we have 47 college coaches using the system from a number of different divisions across the country and they have joined in order to recruit and communicate with athletes just like you. Remember that you can upload both a picture and a video to show off you skills, and once your season starts you have to make sure to update your statistics after every game. Also, build up your Blue Chip Team by inviting your teammates and opponents to sign up, the more teammates you have the more you can compare and see just how well you are performing.

Good Luck in the contest and with the beginning of your seasons!!!

Happy New Year from all of us at Team Blue Chip! We are eagerly awaiting 2008 and all of the exciting innovations and improvements we have in store for our website and the recruiting world. The site has been officially live for just about three months now and we have forty-four coaching staffs using TBC from a number of different conferences and regions. We are working hard to increase this number on a daily basis and eagerly discussing partnerships with other websites and organizations. As always our goal is to help coaches in their recruiting effort, we understand that the internet is not a place to do all your recruiting but it is a invaluable tool to aide in the process. In direct correlation to our coaching goals we are able to help our student athletes and prospects by not only giving them all the tools to market their abilities but by putting them in front of the greatest number of coaches possible.

We look forward to the New Year as a time to grow and expand our network, we invite all of you to sign up to become a member of our team. The possibilities are endless!!

As we get ready to expand our network into additional sports and coaching staffs, we are proud that we have reached a mark of forty-two colleges and universities baseball programs currently using the TBC website. Connections are being made everyday and coaches are beginning to see the benefits that the internet and TBC can have on their athletic programs. As we expand, our goals change and are re molded to fit the needs of our customers and users, both athletes and coaches. So, I encourage those of you that are using the system and also those of you that are only browsing through to send us all and any of your suggestions so that we can work together to build this website. My goal from the beginning was to create a unique site, not another recruiting web site with empty promises or a place to “talk smack” to your peers, but to build a tool to help coaching staffs and in turn athletes during the recruiting process. People are often looking for instant gratification, for pitchers who throw 98 and for a scholarship from a Big East school, but that is not what TBC is about. What we are about is making the lives of coaches easier, making the lives of compliance directors easier, making the lives of Athletic Directors and High School Coaches easier. And as we grow and expand this goal will start to become more of a realization, together with your help.

I also recently came across a very unique group that I encourage all of you to check out and support whether it be through donations or through volunteering, www.miracleleague.com. This could be a great place for HS athletes to spend their down time as well as for college coaches to promote a volunteer spirit among their athletes.

Second Inning

September 19th, 2007

As the fall seasons begin for both high school and college athletes, Team Blue Chip is looking to make it’s impact felt on the recruiting world. Everyday we receive inquiries from coaching staffs across the country about our network and our unique recruiting capabilities. We are doing our best to meet the needs of these coaches and create a platform where both athletes and coaches can realize the full capabilities that the internet has to offer in their recruiting.

The staff of Team Blue Chip is currently developing a unique network that will be individualized for each university using TBC and it’s tools. For example, we will create a mini universe for Sample University and Sample Universities Athletic Programs. The site will have a unique url, www.teambluechip.com/sampleuniversity, and each coach will have a unique sign on and password to track their recruits and compliance. The athletic department, consisting of Athletic Directors and Assistant AD’s, will have administrative passwords to view the work of their coaching staff and follow their recruitment compliance standards. By creating such a network Universities can have a secure on-line location to use in their recruiting and be on the cutting edge of recruitment technology. I know your thinking this is something very similar to scoutware and other recruiting software on the market, and you would be right, however we will be internet based and thus be a fraction of the cost. We are making huge steps in developing this program and if you or your athletic program feel that this is a idea and program that you would like to implement please contact us so that we can work together to make the system that meshes best with your needs.

Please continue to tell your fellow coaches and athletes about the website as we look to expand and build our user base. And those of you just checking out the site, look around and sign up, it’s free and useful! You cannot beat that combination!

Inning One

August 30th, 2007

TeamBlueChip.com is approaching it’s third week of operation and so far we have expanded our user base to 28 College Baseball Programs and 18 High School Student Athletes. We are only scratching the surface of our potential and will look to continue this growth during the upcoming months as we fine tune our network and begin to expand into additional sports. We have Baseball Programs from every level of competition, NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, as well as NAIA. Everyday we promote communication between athletes and coaches as well as improve the productivity and organization of our Coach users recruiting efforts.

A number of users have contacted us with feedback and ideas for improvement, which as promised we will implement as soon as we can. Below are a few comments from users:

“I love the way I can organize my recruits in one central location, access their information, record notes, and keep track of all my emails and telephone calls. My office is clutter free for the first time in years, no more files and papers scattered everywhere, its great.” - Coach

“As a small program, with a limited recruiting budget, TeamBlueChip.com really allows me to expand the area I can recruit in and reach kids I never could have before. I can promote my program in a unique way, and increase the awareness of our athletic program” - Coach

“I was skeptical at first about joining TeamBlueChip.com, I figured there had to be a catch, but there isn’t. I can make a profile with all my info and stats, tell coaches where I will be playing next and once I get a video made I can show coaches my skills. I’ve already spoken with two coaches because of TeamBlueChip.com, and I’m on my way to being a college baseball player.” - Athlete

“I like the way that I can track the coaches that are recruiting me and see all of the conversations we have had. This way I can make a more educated decision about my future as well as promote myself to schools that may not otherwise have a chance to see me play. I am definitely going to tell the guys on my HS team about this site.” - Athelte

The above are just a sampling of the feedback we have heard, and we look forward to the weeks and months ahead as TeamBlueChip.com grows and can help more athletes and coaches in the recruiting process.

Opening Day!

June 17th, 2007

WELCOME TO WWW.TEAMBLUECHIP.COM !

My name is Stephen O’Sullivan and I am the President and founder of TeamBlueChip.com. As you can see the site is up and running and I am ecstatic that you have decided to help make Team Blue Chip the premiere choice in college recruiting. Notice I didn’t say online college recruiting, because that is not what we are about. We understand what it takes to be a coach, the hours you have to put in the number of players you have to sort through, our goal is to make this process easier, more fluid. TeamBlueChip.com is a site you can use to optimize your recruiting process, to make yourself stand out against your competition, and easily stay in touch with those athletes that are going to make your program a perennial leader in your respective conferences. And for student/athletes we will become a location where you can illustrate what sets you apart from the large number of recruits a college coach is considering for his team. Athletes can centralize all of their vital statistics, download video of themselves in action, communicate with not only those coaches recruiting them but also their teammates, track events, and much more. We are putting the power to communicate, search, innovate, and market abilities and programs right into coaches and athletes hands, so you can decide the direction you take in your athletic future. But enough talk about the site and how great I think it is, check it outAnd if these guys are on board, you should at the very least give the site a chance. Everyday we are gaining traction in the college baseball world, signing up new users, and expanding our technology and we plan to continue this growth.

During the initial stages of the site we will concentrate solely on baseball but will look to expand into other sports as the site is fine-tuned and grows in popularity. Building this site is not a one-week process, it is on going, and we need your input and feedback to make this site everything that it can be. Take some time to browse through the site and notice those features that you like and dislike, maybe some different features you think would be useful. Any feedback at all will be useful and taken into account as the site grows and expands.

This is a website that I believe strongly in, and it is no gimmick or some guy trying to make a fast buck. Iam an ex college baseball player and assistant college coach who has a passion for this game and for sports in general, I think this site is the logical next step in the recruiting world and will really help to make the life of coaches and athletes alike a lot easier. Again the site is free so give a whirl, you have nothing to lose and a scholarship opportunity to gain.
